I only recently started playing poker and I have become a moderately fine poker player online and off. I find this money make from one of my quest to find online jobs. I was goofing off and found a site that still catered to U.S. players. Unfortunately, Uncle Sam wants his money in taxes and he got really pissed because U.S. gamblers weren't giving him any money back on what they won, so he decided to shut the whole online poker/gambling thing down for U.S. citizens. Way to rain on the parade Uncle Sam! If he's not lining his coffers no one is right?
Anyway, you can imagine my delight when I found a few sites that still allow U.S. players to gamble to their hearts content.

When I found out about the sites I did a little research and started playing with my boyfriend and his friends in real life until I knew enough about the game to know which hands weren't worth playing, which hands you should almost always play, and which hands you should sink all your stack into in comparison to what is on the board. In other words, I learned when to hold em', when to fold em', I learned when to walk away, and I learned when to run. Ya' catch me? LOL! I then put some "extra money", my Chick Fil- Budget for two weeks, about $25, into the poker account and started playing. I won some and I lost some. Ultimately, I, still being a  fairly new comer, lost more than I won in the beginning. However, I did learn how to play better and I started winning more and more. I have made $300 in one night on a poker site.

My point is, if you want to play poker online for cash you should not go into it with no training, real world experience, or even with a moderate amount of experience. You need to know how to play the game and win before you can consistently make money off of this game. This option of making money is for people who are experts or very nearly experts at poker.

Pro's
You can have fun and win money online.
You can meet new people.
You may become a poker star, but not likely.
If you get good enough you can quit your day job, but be realistic. This may take years and years to accomplish.
There are normally freerolls, free tournaments you can play in everyday more than one time a day, on poker sites.
There are a variety of cash tables you can play on from penny tables to high roller tables.
You can get passwords from facebook or other places for some of the tournaments and this is generally free.
You will have days when lady luck is sitting in your lap at every table you sit at.
You can literally win millions in one night.
You can play with fake money on the poker site or you can play on zynga on facebook to get to expert level.
A lot of poker sites have a variety of different kinds of poker you can play from hold em' to stud.

Con's
You will likely lose a lot of money if you are not careful.
You won't always win even with a bomb ass hand.
You will be bluffed out of money occasionally
You will have bad days.
You will make mistakes.
You will play that A,2 not suited thinking you will get the pot and you will lose the pot.
This game can be rather discouraging.
You likely won't win millions in one night especially if you do not know the game.
Some debit cards and credit cards will not allow you to put money into online gambling so you have to find one that will if you want to play.
If you internet connection sucks you may have issues with some of the sites.

Advice

KNOW THE GAME. If you're not an expert you can still play but please have a good deal of experience with the game. Please know good hands, bad hands, and at least some strategies for poker . Don't start sinking money into online poker if you do not know a lick about the game. Even then don't put serious money, like rent or bill money, into the game because more likely than not you WILL LOSE BIG. Many of you may even come back for more. At that point you will be in massive trouble and you should get the number to a gamblers hotline and you should quit for good. That isn't healthy and it is self destructive. You should play the game in real life with real people before you go online to play. I suggest you learn real life tells and online tells because they help big time. Set a cut off point for yourself on days you aren't doing so well. For example, if you lose x amount of money you are done and you will stop at that point. You will be able to play again tomorrow when your luck has changed. You will need patience to be a good poker player and even more patience to win sometimes. If you stick to it poker can pay off big, but always be realistic and always be wary.

This is a risky way to make money but it can be done.

Unique Ways to Make Money

Cam Modeling

On my quest to make money online I came across a rather unique way to make cash. It is unique because it is an offshoot of the oldest profession in the world, prostitution. Before you stop reading this article hear me out. What I came across was cam modeling. This method is one that has the very real potential of paying the bills without the risk of being physically harasses at a strip club or on the streets in dark back alleys. When I was trying this method out I was too busy to put in the effort to make more than one or two hundred dollars at a time. This method involves 3 months to a year of building a fan base, a list of regulars, and putting forth a consistent amount of time and regular hours everyday to make substantial. If you choose this method you will have people who will pay to watch you suck your toes or whatever, but you will also have times when you it seems no one wants to pay to play. Don't get discouraged just be patient.

Anyone can try this method as long as you are 18 or older. Most reputable sites allow citizens of any country to join as independent contractors. The down side to this method is if you make more that the allotted amount for independent contractors in the U.S. you will have to pay taxes on your earnings. This method is much like starting a business. You have to work in the beginning to to reap the benefits later on.

One of the sites I was a member of allowed you to make your own videos and post them to the site. People could buy or rent your videos for as long as the video was active on the site. This means you can earn money without being online.

If you choose a site research the frequency of charge backs those sites have had. This method might be safer than a street walking but you still have people who don't want to pay you for services you provided. One site I used killed a $400 check by allowing people to charge back about half of my earnings. There are sites out there that are good with charge backs so look for those reliable ones. I know of two that are in good standing with me. :)

Online Poker

For a much less exhibitionistic way of making a substantial income online you can join a REPUTABLE poker program.A few poker programs that I use have more than poker available. Cake Poker has slot machines. games, and lotteries you can use to make money. There is also a variety of different poker types available. Using these programs I made 300 dollars instantly with the slot machine option in one turn and about $500 with the real money Hold Em' option a single week. Sounds good right? Well, it isn't as easy as it sounds. To be successful with this method I suggest you study poker avidly and become a semi-professional before you even think about touching this one with a ten foot pole. If you go into this one face first with absolutely no training YOU WILL LOSE MONEY. I practiced with the free option for months before I dared to use the real money option.

A good rule to follow when doing this is to put money into this method that you don't need for bills, food, or anything important. I also suggest practicing with the "play money" option most sites give you to practice for real money games. There are hundreds of thousands of dollars to be made with this method but you have to be great at poker or really lucky to win with these sites. Be careful with this option if you are in the U.S.A. Some states are prohibited from using these sites all together. The U.S recently cracked down on online gambling because Americans were apparently neglecting to pay their taxes on their earnings. You know Uncle Sam wants his cut of your hard earned money so pay your taxes on what you win.

Freebies Sites(Incentivized Freebie Website)

For the more organized, and I mean organized, internet income seekers this method can make you a lot of money in a short period of time. Project payday is the best way to learn about incentivized freebie websites, in my opinion.

Here's How It Works

The IFW owner gets businesses to pay her a percentage in exchange for referring customers who signup. Signups then get cool free stuff or cash by referring friends to do sponsor offers. One friend might get you 60 bucks, two friends might get you 120 buck, three friends might get you an Ipod, and so on. Your friends have to complete the requirements before you can get your cool stuff. That is the big catch here. A lot of people don't get their cool stuff because they have half-ass friend who don't complete the site requirements. Generally the requirements are for the customer, your referee, to do enough offers to get the amount of credits the site requires to receive your cool stuff or cash. Then and only then can the referrer reap the benefits. Doing this repeatedly will get you money and cool stuff over and over again. If you don't have an endless list of friend, you can buy referrals. This might sound counterproductive. I thought so too until I saw a freebie trader who was buying referrals get a $350 PS3 for about $125 by buying referrals to complete offers on a freebie site.

Project Payday

When I first saw this name I thought it was a scam. When I saw the website I thought it was a load of crap, but when I tried it I did make 50 dollars in the first two days by following the program's instructions.. There are several methods you can explore to make butt loads of cash and gifts. You can simply refer your friends, which I prefer, or you can explore the more complicated methods Project Payday teaches.

There is a lot to read on the Project Payday site but you would do better to read the information. Being better prepared can get money in your pocket quicker. If you go into this site face first you may lose money. If you choose this method I suggest you keep strict records on which offers you do. I also suggest reading the fine print on the offers you choose and choose wisely. Don't be afraid to do a little research. Also, keep records of trial offers you cancel and DO NOT DELETE your confirmation of cancellation e-mails. It is likely that you will run into a problem here and there, and having records will help clear up any misunderstandings. I have only had one problem with this method and having my cancellation confirmation cleared that problem up quickly. Note: When I signed up I did an offer to become a member. In the past Project Payday has had people pay for membership.

Paid Surveys

I know there are a lot of survey sites out there and there is absolutely nothing unique about them. However, I stumbled across some sites that are actually quite different. My favorite survey site is Paidviewpoint. Paidviewpoint is different because they send you survey relatively frequently, every day or two, and if you get disqualified, which I have never had happen, you still get paid. The sum you paid out might be less than you would have gotten if you had qualified but you still get money in your account. I also like this site because their cashout point is fairly low at $15.

You most likely won't get rich with this option but you can make grocery money or boost your fast food budget with a combination of these sites.

My Weight Problems

I see a lot of diets that are all about making you feel full. My weight problems aren't about feeling hungry all the time. My problems are about seeing or smelling something delicious and eating it even after I am full. It's the urge to eat that I have a problem with not the feeling full. So how do I control the urge to eat and eat and eat?

Tell me this and I will lose that 20 or 30 pounds and keep it off.

If fad diets could answer this question they would be more than fads.

Oh my God! Publishers Clearing House has to be the most annoying site sweepstakes site that sends out emails. The emails they send are so fucking misleading. They want you to believe you are missing something important until you actually open the emails and find that it is just another entry to a sweepstakes you will never win. That is the most annoying part, you won't win and no one you know ever will. I don't know anyone who has won the PCH sweepstakes or anyone who is involved with it. You see all the "proof" pictures all over the internet and television but your never see it in person and you never will. I feel PCH is a massive scam that flies so low under the radar because they payout millions to people who are so close to death they can feel the reapers icy breath on their necks.  When was the last time you saw a 21 year old win that sweepstakes? When was the last time you saw someone who was truly struggling win PCH? NEVER. I suspect PCH isn't a random drawing kind of thing. I believe they do that shit on purpose. Grandma wins because she won't be able to collect the full amount before she croaks. Little Miss 25 year old won't win because she will probably live another 75 years.

What the hell is up with the spammish offers PCH redirects you to after you submit your entry. "Here's a ballot for our sweepstakes, and by the way check out my affiliate "Reduce your Mortgage Now." What the fuck?

Last night I dreamed about my grandmother. All I remember is that she looked dead. Her lips were pale and she was bloated. My relationship with my grandmother was a very distant and difficult one. She had a long hard history with drugs and addiction. A lot was going on when she died and what I remember the most was that she was buried in a dirty dress.  I dream about her infrequently but when I do it's always weird.
I apparently woke my boyfriend up when I awoke at 4 AM from this disturbing dream.

Make Money Honey

On another note, It is almost time for bed and I am dreading going to work tomorrow. I hate it. This job with this company sucks. The D.O.N is a bitch and the conditions of the job are getting ridiculous. I can't be on the clock passed 3, I usually can't get enough time to take my breaks or my lunches. I have simply stopped taking food to work knowing I won't have time anyway. I think the stress is killing me and making me sick. When I get to work I dread most because I mostly work on the halls that have a shortage of help. I'm sorry but it is hard for two people to take care of 28 totally dependent adults who are demanding and completely selfish. One those halls we are supposed to have 3 people but my work place is severely under staffed. Anyway, I just want to gripe a little. I'm off to shower and sleep. 

Easily Bored

I don't know why I lose interest in things so easily. I was doing a West At Home application that takes about 45 minutes to an hour to complete. I got so bored in the middle that I switched back and forth from one Google tab to another. I came back to the original tab, and did more of the application questions then I switched when I got bored again. I had a work from home job that I made money from and got paid from ,but I got bored with it, and I ended up moving away from that job option. I think if I had been able to make more money with that job I probably would have stayed with it but it was basically a sales job that would take a tremendous amount of effort to pay my bills consistently. Anyway, I get so bored with stuff easily. I wonder if I have developed some kind of attention deficit.

My Poker Addiction

I play poker online and I have won small pots but I haven't won more than 300 on the slots. I suggest being an expert if you are going to start playing for money online. I like my sites because they have free tournament you can play in and win real cash. I wish the cash out was less than $500 on cake though.

Never Ending Battle with Anxiety

Is it weird that I am sometimes convinced I am dying of some horrible disease? Like, I have this severe fear of contracting HIV or something incurable like that. I have never had anything come up on any medical tests but I still feel sometimes, since I work in a nursing home, that I have caught something and I am going to die immediately.
I have had this problem for a very long time and I have only recently seriously considered getting some kind of therapy for it.  I somehow have the strength to calm my anxiety down and relax before a panic attack develops. That strength I think is Daniel, my boyfriend. Anyway, I searching for professional help.

I imagine a lot of my problems started with my dysfunctional upbringing. That story is one for another day though.

New Job

I'm looking for a new job.  My goal is to work from home.  I want to make enough to pay my bills. I want to be able to do something that isn't extremely challenging that I can get paid for without having to pay out. I guess this is something people dream about but I know people do it. I have found some interesting links to legit opportunities that allow my to work from home as an employee or as a contractor. The unfortunate thing is a lot of those things I am not qualified for. Sigh. I hope something turns up soon. I can't keep wiping ass for a living it is killing my hip.

So, I'm sitting in bed dreading going to work tomorrow. I hate working at this place sometimes but then a resident will say something that makes me feel like my life and time isn't wasted as a CNA. So, it is time for bed i will see what happens tomorrow.

I decided to start blogging again. At first I thought blogging was a dumb idea, but it is basically and simply documenting life. My life is complicated and if you want to read about it... that is fine. My life has come to what feels like a stagnant pool. I go to work. I come home. I sit in front of the t.v like a fat dumb and happy American. Am I truly happy? Am I stuck in an existential crisis? I wonder why things don't change for me, but I know why. I just don't do anything about it. I think this is why America has come to the between that which resides among  the rocks and  hard places.  What do I do? To change I must get up and choose to do something else. What that something else is i do not know. Let's see what happens.
